About Us

Summer (Owner)

Hi, I’m Summer, the founder of Lead & Ramble.

My journey with dogs began early with my first dog, a strong-willed Shar Pei who taught me more than I ever expected and sparked my passion for training and behaviour. Now, I share my days with my Blue Staffy duo. Mimi, my gentle rescue girly, who prefers the quiet comforts of home in her senior years, and Chilli, her lively great-niece and my little wild child. She joins me on group walks every day and serves as an impeccable stooge dog for training clients.

With a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management and a Diploma in Canine Behaviour Training, I’ve built Lead & Ramble around a deep respect for dogs, their individuality, and the trust and knowledge it takes to care for them well. I continue to invest in hands-on experience and accredited training, always aiming to bring thoughtful, up-to-date practices into the way I work.

As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust with your dog. That’s why I created Lead & Ramble with the highest standards of care in mind. To offer reliable, professional support that still feels personal and grounded in understanding.

It’s a privilege to do what I do, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Meg (Walker)

Hi, I’m Meg. I joined the Lead & Ramble team in 2024 after completing my BSc in Animal Behaviour and Conservation.

I’ve grown up around dogs and always had a natural love for animals, so getting to work with them every day feels like the perfect fit. I have a Cockapoo named Mango who actually walked weekly with L&R before I joined the team. Now she gets to come out every day with me and her friends.

Being part of Lead & Ramble has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful to spend each day building strong bonds with the dogs in our care and doing what I love.
